"Derivative" draws from the symbolism of the Ouroboros, the serpent that swallows its own tail, reminding us of the eternal return, the recomenation, the cycles of life or the greatness of infinity. In the work, the image always appears incomplete with one of the pieces in the wrong position, as if it were drifting in another direction, promoting a rupture imposed by the eternal return. Although the search for perfection guides us, to err is part of our nature. "Derivante" seeks to make error explicit as a human virtue.

The sculpture is composed of 4 polished bronze pieces, welded together from the back, maintaining a breathing space between each piece, making it possible to hang it on the wall or set it up as a tile set. There are 12 possible configurations. Although treated as a multiple, each edition is uniquely ordered, and the configuration of each is not repeated.
