Starting from the concepts of opposition, tension, and continuity with mythological, physical, and alchemical references, Smék and Setúbal have been creating since 2017 a series of installations, sculptures, video sculptures, videos, performances, and photographs that have as their starting point the tensions inherent in human relationships.
Smék Setúbal is a collaboration between the artists Paul Setúbal and Dora Smék. The development of their collaboration begins at the tangency and friction between the individual productions of the two artists and establishes itself as a third artist with its own specific questions, concerns, and references.
