Installation composed of 14 index fingers, cast in bronze and soldered onto rods that resemble silencers used in firearms to muffle the sound of the shot.
The fingers were copied from 14 different people with ages ranging from 7 to 93. The height of each rod is equivalent to the height of each person's mouth. The disposition of the rods in the exhibition space must be at least 1 meter apart, allowing the transit of the public between each Silencer, which must be at the approximate height of the visitor's mouth. The 14 silencers are displayed within a circular area of approximately 6 meters in diameter lined with gravel. As the public moves and walks on the gravel, the sound of the friction of the stones makes "shhh", the sound we make when we place our index finger at the height of our mouth asking for silence.
The number of fingers/stems and the size of the work can be adapted to the exhibition space.
